Dave Sutter, Head of Platform Strategy at TradeIX provides in an interview with The Asset a fresh approach APIs in trade finance.

He explains in the article: “I don’t think I would talk to a CFO about an API. I would talk to a CFO about what an API gateway could do for them. Some corporates today are working through 50 different portals both banking and non-bank to manage trade finance activity.”

API is a method of interconnecting and communication between corporate and banking systems. However, trade finance today is rife with costly, bespoke integration processes. Developer from TradeIX is designed to enable simple, efficient integrations with other entities, clients, partners and systems both internal & external via open APIs. Through dedicated APIs in trade finance, TradeIX drives adoption of an open, shared infrastructure for global trade and allows interoperability amongst previously siloed networks and solutions.
